Inequalities in job recruitment in the city of Lubumbashi
Having a good job in the DRC, more precisely in Lubumbashi, according to your skills is becoming complicated these days. And recruitment in the companies of the city remains to be desired! Let us always hope, with the help of God, the Congolese men in general and in particular Lushois will learn to privilege skills instead of personal knowledge!

It is by working that man will live!

My name is Stéphane LAM MBUYI, I live in the city of Lubumbashi in the province of Haut-Katanga in the Democratic Republic of Congo! Having a good job in the DRC according to your skills is becoming complicated these days. And recruitment in the companies of the city remains to be desired!
Studying in the Democratic Republic of Congo from primary school to university is too hard for students who pay for their studies themselves or who are forced to beg. And also for the parents who work in the fields from morning until evening, the others are secretaries or cashiers in the Indian store to pay for their children's studies.
Regular students fight night and day to finish their studies with all the possible distinctions with the sole hope of occupying a good position in a company in the city, but the majority do not find themselves after their studies.
Companies have changed the criteria for recruitment,
The hiring test has become a formality, we no longer take into account the skills acquired at university in most cases, we now recruit according to the following points:

Belonging to an influential political party: the reason for many young people in the political party, because there, even without competence, you can be a minister, you just have to be a little talkative!

Belonging to the same clan or tribute with the recruiter, geopolitics is strictly respected to the detriment of competence

Have an acquaintance with the one who recruits or  one who knows the recruiter, there you pass even if you do not meet the criterion

Have a recommendation from a political authority or an influential person in the city becomes necessary

It is at the level where students after finishing their studies are forced to prostitute themselves a little to have a good job.

Give a sum of money to the recruiter to benefit from his favor

And so many other shady criteria...

In conclusion, each person works according to the way in which he was recruited.
As a result, many students who finished with distinctions only manage in life, you would find chartered accountants - taxi drivers, doctor-bikers, engineers-delta... with all the consequences that this causes in society!

Let us always hope, with the help of God, the Congolese men in general and in particular the Lushois men will learn to privilege skills instead of personal knowledge!
