Educative Centre in Nicaragua
“Come and let’s consume something healthy.”
The CEFER San Jerónimo in Estelí, Nicaragua, welcomes young people who have faced significant challenges in their primary education.
This caused them to have little work opportunities and not being able to work in group or independently.
This brings difficulties in their integration in activities which are important for their development.
CEFER provides high-quality education for these young people through a well-balanced learning approach that combines practical experience with theory.
In the municipality, CEFER is the only center implementing innovative learning activities that engage students, involve parents, and include collaboration with higher community authorities and networks.
The productive projects are activities carried out at the center. However, there are often parents with negative attitudes and students who show little interest in participating.
In some cases, parents fail to support their children, but CEFER has raised awareness of the benefits that these projects offer. This effort has led to a change in attitudes among parents and children, promoting better coexistence and transformation.
The productive projects have significantly improved the living conditions of Nicaraguan families. They have also strengthened family bonds between parents and children; fostering better communication, mutual support, and responsible use of resources like soil and water. These initiatives are cultivating entrepreneurial young people with a desire for self-improvement
The projects have also addressed many of the students' basic needs. Now, they consume healthy, chemical-free products, follow a well-balanced diet, and, most importantly, are ensuring food security for their families.
Additionally, these projects promote family self-employment, encourage saving and investment, and support the purchase of school supplies and transportation costs for students commuting between the center and their communities.
We prepare young people for life; with spiritual, moral and social values.
