Description2:

My name is Dione Diobé, and I live in the Tambacounda region of Senegal.

I have done a first aid training course with the Red Cross in Tambacounda. The goal of the course was to be able to help an injured person.

The course really helped to change our understanding of how to look after a person who is suffering. We learnt how to stop bleeding, how to use a wheeled stretcher, to perform CPR, to treat burns and so on.

The training was very difficult because it’s about saving lives, and it took a full day of training before we received our diplomas.

Just a few days later, I helped some seriously injured people after a motorbike accident. I was really proud that I was able to do this.
