The lack of a radio and the lack of a newspaper sales establishment, together with having an expensive and poor-quality Internet or lack of devices to access, is a reality in our District.

This directly impacts the right to information, provided for in law 34/2014 (Photo of the Law)

I am a teacher at the Panda Agrarian Institute. I am aware that this problem makes our community vulnerable and easy to deceive, for, we are not informed of all that is happening in the world.

Community radios help to interpret news that the community hears and reads from different sources. They bring local content, which would never gain a place in the mainstream press.

They help in the conservation and dissemination of our traditions, values, habits and customs. Due to the lack of a radio, the community faces several difficulties such as: Being unable to contribute effectively to the dissemination of measures to prevent infectious diseases such as COVID 19, (Photo of a poster with measures to prevent COVID 19).

Early or late plowing and sowing, due to poor diffusion of the local precipitation climate forecast. Debates with local professionals to form public opinion on political, social and other aspects. As well as the disclosure of negotiations and other information of interest to our community

Due to limited access to information, we have verified the scant involvement of all breeders in the campaigns for the vaccination of livestock.

As a solution, I invite the local government or any other organisation to invest in the installation of a community radio. (Photo of the Local Government Building). For our own development and for the well-being of the population, communication and information are fundamental factors.

The lack of information in a community puts the health and life of the local population at risk.
