Description2:

My name is Marguerite Ngah Koah and I am 22 years old. I am a level 3 student at the centre of agricultural training (CAPAM), based in the village of Zamakoé, 7km from the city of Mbalmayo. My training started in 2015.

There are 11 students in our year group who come from different backgrounds.

Each year of training consists of 10 months of lessons which alternate between 2 weeks of work experience and 2 weeks of lessons at the centre.

The work experience is a chance to complete our learning next to professional farmers.

It also allows us to put our knowledge of family farming into practice.

Currently, I feel capable of building up and developing a crop and livestock farm.

In April 2018, I received financial support from CAPAM in order to farm 100 broiler chickens at home.

The instructors and even the representative of the Mbalmayo farming department assist me in my farming. I intend on getting my professional qualification certificate at the end of training.

Afterwards, I would like to settle in by myself. With the help of my family, I would like to acquire plots of land to develop my agropastoral farm.

My ambition is to become an entrepreneur being able to serve as a model for young girls of my age in quest of a socio-professional integration which frees them from unemployment and poverty.
